Using a genre-based, writing-across-the-curriculum approach, this course addresses the range of skills that students need to be successful academic readers and writers across the disciplines in the modern research university. This includes practice related to the techniques of summary, citation, analysis, synthesis, academic argumentation, revision, scholarly research, and academic writing conventions.
